Mr. Giuliani has it right.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...ed_by_now.html

and its even MSNBC (for all the blindly faithful)

"I know exactly what I would have done. The first thing I would have done is to bring in outside experts who knew as much or more about this than BP because I wouldn't trust just BP to run it for me. I wouldn't want my fate, the fate of my people, the fate of the southern part of this country in the hands of BP. I would have gone and I would have called up the people we've been talking about... are there people that are better than BP? YES. Are there people that are FAR better than BP? YES. Give me the people that are the BEST! after all i'm the president of the United States i can get anything i want! I want them here now! and [Obama] has not called any of these people!"

~ Rudy Giuliani

Obama should have gone to Houston, Texas... Mobile, Alabama... Galveston, Texas and got the people with the dirt under their fingernails and the experience in this industry to go down there and put their heads together and manage this problem on week one.

He should have contacted James Cameron, and his deep sea buddies and got them in on the loop too!

he is the President of the United States for crying out loud... he could have had the friggin ghost busters down there if there was any thought that it might do some good.

Instead he gets some "know nothing lab coat" (Direct quote from a petroleum engineer friend of mine) to go down there and they have done nothing to solve this problem.

This is Obama's Katrina... stay as blindly faithful to this loser as any of you want, the man lacks the experience to lead this nation, he is border line treasonous in his actions and ideology, he is a liar more so than any politician i have ever seen and he is about as transparent as a concrete wall, I dont see how the man has ANY supporters left he is just as bad if not worse than Bush.

Comrade, stop being a hater. As zampolit of subsim, I have a message:
I have a plan... to clean up the oil spill:
Yes we can!

Rudy has it wrong. There are 15 foreign vessels int he Gulf working on the operation, and the US has accepted assistance from several nations in the project.

Obama's Katrina? A severe hurricane that you can see coming for days on end is something that the government is designed to cope with, has specialised agencies and contingency plans for. An unexpected oil blowout on a rig.....yeah....that's the same.

:doh::88)

So exactly how many days of "get the hell out of the city" messages does it take before people GTFO?

Yes... Rudy is right, i never cared much for the man either way BUT HE'S RIGHT.

Why has his response to this disaster been so amateurish?

And speaking of having resources in place to deal with emergencies?

where were the booms?

MILES OF BOOMS sitting in warehouses across the east coast and not one person thought it would be a good idea to truck them to the gulf areas?

and why - for weeks- was BP the sole responder?

i dont see how anyone can tolerate this guy

Zachstar 06-17-10 05:10 PM

I wonder how many times he said "Nine eleven" this time? :har:

Oberon 06-17-10 05:11 PM

He's expanded his vocabulary then.... :hmmm:

EDIT: Dammit Zachstar! :har::up:

Skybird 06-17-10 05:14 PM

Separates Oil From Water and his brother have sold 30 centrifuge machines they invented, that should help to clean up the mess.

We all know how it will end: the sea will get taken, the native Cubans get driven out, and it all will have been some foreign white man's fault. Afterwards Ridley Scott will make a movie of it all, entitled "Slick Rider - Grease From Hell".

The purpose of FEMA is not just to tell people to move.

Because they said they could handle it. They were wrong again and again. Still doesn't quite change the fact that government is not in the oil-capping business, never has been.

Nice.

XabbaRus 06-17-10 05:36 PM

To be honest I'd put money on the fact that none of the other oil companies would be any more prepared than BP.

I wish Obama would shut up. Yes he is using this for political gain.

The government is in a lot of businesses its never been in lately.

and do you really expect me to believe that the US Gvt doesnt have an oil spill response plan?

well... given the circumstances, either they dont have one... or they dont know how to implement it.

i could see that conversation:

BP: "Its cool... only 2.5 million gallons per day... we got it."

Obama: "Oh, aight yo.... peace out!"

His 987th mistake was trusting BP in the first place. :shifty:

Alright, so Obama is a festering POS. Glad we got that sorted out again. Nice job with the portrait of him, BTW -- except maybe there should be a noose around his neck and a burning cross in the background. You know, to add a little more true American spirit to it. Jeez.

i couldnt find that one

AngusJS 06-17-10 08:31 PM

Wait, I thought the conservative position was that the government should stay out of BP's way and let them handle the spill?

it is.

but, as long as this administration is sticking their noses into everything under the sun, they deserve to be criticized for it when they frack it up.
