A silly question
 

Do you have to have the Russian Campaign to use the Red October?
Last time i tried the Baltic Mod it was all in Russian and i couldn't understand a word of it aside from load/save and no hahah

By modifying the campaign upc files you can make her career playable.

Pretty please with sugar on? Sure. Do you want it for stock or Battle for the Baltic cause the last one is gonna get a little complicated.

im using Fall of the rising sun V1.3 but i can deal with the normal start dates if it makes it any easier.

I guess FOTRS is acceptable.

The first thing you should is find the UnitPart8627a and change the 8 to 10.

Then go to the UPCCampaignData in the FOTRS and copy the CareerStart and Flotilla.upc and make a folder in the UPCData in the RedOctober folder. As the Red October is based on the Tambor we can replace the Tambor by changing a few things:

Replace this in all the flotillas

NameDisplayable= Tambor class
AvailabilityInterval= NULL, NULL
IDLinkUserPlayerUnitType= Tambor

with this:
NameDisplayable= Typhoon class
AvailabilityInterval= NULL, NULL
IDLinkUserPlayerUnitType=627a

and that is for the campaign.

I can make a mod with a few extra surprises/things if you`re interested

The UnitParts8627a is in UPCData/UPCUnitsData. I will make a crew that fits FOTRS, I am thinking of an invisible deckgun that shoots missiles over great distances and new textures for the sub.

It`s the name UnitPart8627a that has to be changed. FOTRS has 9 submarines, this will be the tenth. If you want a conning tower then this is important.
