It's been a while since I've used that tutorial I gave you, so I don't know for sure what might have gone wrong. For me, it took lots of trial and error to finally get it to work - had a triple 6in turret on my S-boat, and just for fun, a 4in deck gun hanging off either side of the conning tower. :D

That, however, took probably two weeks of tinkering and dozens of attempts to get it right. After lots of un-intended failures, the turret was mannable, and the deck guns would fire on command (though they were all screwed up due to rotating them - the controls didn't track right).

Anyways, I know it can be done using that tutorial - it just takes lots of patience and trial and error to get it to work. Maybe you forgot to change a number somewhere, or have a typo somewhere... SH4 is really picky about how you name and number things. From your post, it sounds like there might be something wrong/missing in the UserPlayerParts file. Check there, and compare it to the format and syntax of the stock game to see of you made a mistake or an omission. Other than that, when in doubt, start over, take notes on the changes you make, and see if you end up with a different result.

Wish I could be more helpful, but I've given up on trying to learn how to mod. Too much frustration, and not enough patience here. :timeout:

Give it a go, though. I know the tutorial works - I've used it myself.

Good luck!
