regular scan for threats?
 

I'm currently thinking to enhance the corresponding sub doctrines, so that the subs do regularly scan their environment for threats, that is to change course and change speed to silent. Of course this scan would only be conducted if the sub would not be busy with other more important tasks.

The question is now how often should that maneuver be conducted?
