Have you always wanted a Track IR? How about a free one?
free track IR without needed LEDs that track your face
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=99523 Download link http://sourceforge.net/projects/face...0.zip/download aven't tried it but I'm going to buy some webcam just to try this :D And you need this too I think http://www.seeingmachines.com/produc...api/downloads/ I haven't tried it but people experience jittering. Well don't hold you hopes high. |
Hmm, seems like something like that would need quite a bit of calibrating and tinkering to get it working with someone's face :hmmm: I messed around with a webcam and one of the tracking programs out there, but I could never get it working. And then I got a real TrackIR, so I gave up on the webcam :p2:

wow, I'll have to give this a go. They are doing something similar with Gran Turismo 5 and the PSEye.
I've tried freetrack in the past but it never rly worked for me, I think my LED set up failed a bit lol |
Didn't Letum build himself one?
|
My laptop has face recognition log in built into it.
It works.... in one spot of the house about 50% of the time. The vast majority of times in other locations I end up bypassing it because it simply wont work. The lighting has to be just right, your distance from the camera has to be just right, the tilt of your head has to be just right, take off your glasses, remove your hat.. etc etc. Oh and whats with "LED's not required" my track IR never used leds :06: |
