Hi all ...i'm a new forum user and not expert about Silent Hunter 5 .

After initial 'new campaign' and return to kiel I stay in sub bunker but I don't understand how continue campaign .....

May I use deck gun and AA gun or only my crew can use it ?
what's keyboard command ?

May I use binocular during navigation ? In what command ?

I noted that in immersion I cannot reach sea floor but sub stay at some meters from it . It's possible reach the floor with SH5 ?

Hello,

You have to talk to the mechanic and officer to get the sub ready and get your mission orders. Someone will provide the link for more info I am sure.

You have to run out to the guns, then click on the upper lefthand corner icon to use them. Sorry I don't know or use a lot of key shortcuts. There are ladders halfway back on each side of the conning tower, but the starbord side seems buggy and I get stuck there sometimes. I always go over the port side.

Mouse wheel will enable the binoculars, then the KP. (Del) button will navigate to where you are looking.

No I don't think SH5 shows the sub on bottom.

Thanks for the hint Kylania. Appearently I missed speaking with the dockmaster while in my main port. I am currently in the Kiel channel coming to another port. I noticed the small anchor flashes indicating I can dock. Will there be a dock master at one of these I can speak with to upgrade my boat? I would rather skip to a type 7c before heading to my patrol area.

Sorry for the thread hijack.

You can refit (refuel and rearm) at any friendly port, which is what that dock icon is. But you can only end patrol and talk to the Dockmaster at your home port. Kiel at first, then Wilhelmshaven, then Lorient and so on.

Do you confirm me that ship don't turn with command 5° starboard ?

It's another bug ?

Submarine is driveable only in compass mode ?

Are you at high time compression? Sometimes commands issued while you're flying along above 32x won't register. Kind of annoying.

Go to the mods section and install the new user interface with the mod enabler .
