Wow! Quite a story. Did you catch the footnote at the bottom about Hitler's sister?

In 1947, Albert rejoined his family in Salzburg. Ironically, given his exoneration, he was unable to get work because of his family's Nazi history. Increasingly bitter, he turned to drink.
He survived on food parcels sent to him by the many Jews he'd helped escape from the Gestapo, but died at 71 of pancreatic cancer in December 1966, his life relegated to a footnote of his brother's brutal history.

Bit of a bitter end for him, he should of done what Oskar Schindler did and go live with Jews till everything calmed down.

Still no kindness goes unpunished :03:

Saving anybody's life is a noble act saving more than 30 is even more.

The one who watches over all will make sure his deeds would not go unpunished :DL

Well, his offices were involved in the groundwork and planning and he did write the memo that asked Heydrich to organise the Wansee conference (or at least a conference to discusss the final solution of the Jewish question,) So on this point it's a fair enough cop. Considering some of the rubbish that red topped rag usually publishes this is as close to diamond encased truth as your going to get. He might not have been the architect but he was definately a major consultant on the blueprints.

I've heard this story about his brother a couple of times in the past and thought it was better known than it actually appears to be. it's not the only one of course. The story of Himmler's personal Doctor is also interesting.

Also intersting is the fact that Heydrich provided papers that allowed several Jewish sportsmen to escape Germany up until 1940 or so. Not for a second, though, am i placing the Blond Beast in the company as the other two. It's just an interesting aside is all.
