Since i have 3 of them, my assumption has been its some type of permanent negative mark on your "record" if you've been a bad boy.

Referrals are just that. If you get someone you know to signup/register to Subsim, during registration they can enter the username of the person that recommended Subsim.

In this case, Dowly, someone you know used your name.

The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.
You gain referrals by promoting SUBSIM Radio Room Forums using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

Each time someone follows this link to SUBSIM Radio Room Forums and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

BTW dowly, i don't think were even, i think im a few up on ya. I still don't know how i managed to get "best of 2009" when i was keelhauled for MOST of that year, and brigged for 6 months prior to that. :haha:

You and a couple of others who are regulars here, one of whom is a well-known modder like yourself and another who is now a moderator.
