Any word on a new patch?

Has anybody heard any rumours of a new patch? I mean UBI is not saying anything and they could at least let us know if they plan to create another patch or not right?

Ubisoft never even officially announced 1.2 was out. :nope: I wouldn't expect any information from them period, about 1.3's details or even existence.

fixes are just the tip of the iceburg.
Type 9 and 43-45 are still missing.
We need an addon! :dead:

yeah hows about an addon that does not cost anything conidering that playing the ENTIRE war and The Type 9, 2 and XXI were in game from the get go

Sadly, I have heard from a number of people in the know that there will not be another Patch. If sales reach a certain amount there might be an add-on, which essentially is a Patch, but it's extremely unlikely. There was a lot of great work done in SH5 and it's a huge shame it wasn't finished .

On the one hand, that is a BIG bummer. However, if there is no patch in the works, and we got good confirmation on that, it would unleash a lot of modders who don't want to work with patches still coming.

Edit: Not that I don't believe you TheGeneral, I am just saying something official would be nice.

If there were anything official, Oscar wouldn't have had to ask the rumor mill for information. It's like asking the air temperature when no one has a thermometer. No one expects an answer which can't be argued with.

Don't hold your breath!

Yeah, tell me about it, cause Ubisoft is sporting an awesome track record about keeping us informed.:rotfl2:

You can take my comments for what they are worth which is nothing. I'd have to say that there will be no comments from Ubisoft as to whether there will be anything further for SHIV. I was a Moderator for the SH Forums for quite awhile and if information is available, you'll be the last ones to know. Not even the Forum Managers over at the Ubisoft Forums knew what was going on. Just my take on info for anything new of SH5.

Well if Ubi are done with SHV,
then C.S.O 'SHV Community Salvage Operation' would be an appropriate name for the super mod that attempts to fix everything :)

You can take that to the bank. They just don't get it, do they? Look at companies such as Valve and Bioware - they're very communicative with their customer base. No wonder they're so well loved and have such a rabid fanbase.

I love it. I think that's perfect.

but since when has it been OUR job to fix Ubi's game? I know we have a robust modding community but please...

Gkane, the official "community developer", Ubisoft's mouthpiece for SH5 on their forums, twitter and facebook, essentially hasn't posted a damn thing since the game came out. He's posted one set of patch notes, a "we've delayed it" and a "we won't make it" message edit about the 1.2 patch and nothing else. Absolutely nothing since essentially early April. I'm fully confident he was fired or quit and simply never replaced.

So, we're not gonna get anything official because there is no one official anymore.
