'Round the World?
 

Anybody ever try to sail around the world in a U-boat in SH3?

I seem to remember somebody on the Ubi forum trying, but I never saw anything else about it.

I would think you'd have to have "limited fuel" option unchecked since there is probably no place to refuel and do it pre-war.

Might be kinda fun though, stopping at various ports, transiting the Panama Canal(you can in game, right?)

Can't be done I'm afraid...the world comes to an end on the extreme edges.

The Panama Canal (in GWX anyway) is netted off.

It might be possible in SH4, but I haven't gotten far. I've got a uboat with unlimited fuel and an American boat also, but I haven't gotten out of the war zones started in yet.

I volunteer to begin a custom mission at Panama Pacific side to see if it is possible. If not, the Horn boys!

I'm back. Nix on the canal. I'm using TMO 1.9 and there is simply no canal at all there. I put a sub right at the South tip of S. America on 1st May 1942, just to see weather. No big deal. So the long boring route is possible.
