[REQ] U-69 "Laughing cow/Flags" skin
Hello, is anyone here talented enough to make a hisorically accurate U-69 conning tower? Thats my U boat and i can get a really ugly inverted laughing cow, without even the proper banners on the side. Can anyone help me?

I could if somebody could point me to the corresponding files. :DL

Someone did a mod that reskinned the subs by replacing the default texture, maybe this would be a good route. I dont remember what it was called ("Something" Paint shop 1.0)

More pictures, Closeups of the flags and cow:

Yeah, I can't find any decent pictures of that emblem. This page has the best ones so far:

It doesnt have to be super crazy accurate. Black and white photos for placement, models for color (I'm sure some anal modeler read the right colors from a book or something)
I know the cow is brown and the text is all white, and the boat is a dark enough grey to make the text really stand out. Ever since i got assigned U-69 in december 1939 (HA) ive been wanting to have the correct paint job. Since the flags wrap around the front of the conning tower a simple "Captains emblem" just wont do. Of course the community could always use some good historical skins :) |
The A Fistful of Emblems SH5 mod has the cow head emblem available.
The SH3 mod SuperTurms 4 has the whole thing, flags, wraparound cow heads and very crisp quality. You can see it in this video. The main drawback is you can't do that in SH5... yet? |

It's in Spanish. Look in Historia, Historial Uboote, fichas e historiales, U-69. Sorry, no direct link. Pics and colour print of U-69's emblem. :salute: |
Ooh, great link! Can't read a word of it, but looks great! heh
