Calderon ticks me off

Mexican president Calderon comes and speaks in front of US congress dressing them down for "Arizona's bad law" and "racial profiling" to applause by the congress. Applause by congress :o WTF !!!! :nope:

In a later interview with Wolf Blitzer El Heffe admits that Mexico does exactly those things he chided us for and much more strident immigration enforcement.

For the last time "Racial Profiling" is not a part of this bill in fact it goes to great lengths to try to prevent it.

Shamefull behaviour by congress and the adminstration. Stand up for your country for god's sake!

But hey, it's only natural they'd want to keep a good thing going :shifty:

Now we truly understand how out of touch Congress is. This is one of the reasons for term limits. This is another reason any incumbents need to be sweating very soon. Mid-terms elections will say a lot.

Who says they are outta touch, they were all applauding.
oh, wait.

On a side note, I love the threat-counter threat between Arizona and Kali-fornia.

Could you imagine if Arizona cut off their power, (then I'll add) and if utah followed suit and cut off the power and water. OMG kali-fornia would have to live within their means AND generate their own electricity and conserve water (see hollywood lifestyle):haha:

Good thing they're into that green power, that should meet their consumption needs.:har:

Everyone of the Democrats who stood up and applauded him are traitors and that includes Obama for even allowing the speech.I never cared for Democrats/Liberals much but after the past few years, can not stand them at all.Glad we have mid term elections this year.

If you're talking about the dude in AZ who was threatening to "cut off" power to Los Angeles, it's an empty threat. According to the LA Dept of Power & Water, only 20-25% of their power comes from AZ, and what does come from there is generated at two power plants: Navajo and Palo Verde.

Guess who is part owner of both plants? The LA Dept of Power & Water. :O:

Well then, they can cut off their supply of Mexicans. That hit 'em where it hurts!

Part owner, and also subject to Az. state regulation so while a complete cut off might be impossible they could raise the cost.

LOL :yeah:

Those that applauded are idiots. The AZ law is FAR more restrictive on law enforcement than the FEDERAL law written by the likes of those that applauded. Laws that continue to exist because of those applauding.

And the guy they applaud? Has FAR more restrictive laws for immigration to his country than we do—and is so incompetent that literally thousands have died to drug violence on the border since January—much of the violence being done by corrupt government agents, lol.

Now its Kennedy's turn to piss me off...

Quote:

"So, this idea of, you know, racial profiling, takes us backwards and really goes to the worst character of our nation and it’s, it’s demeaning to our country that we would move in that direction," said Kennedy. "It’s beneath us as a people.”

Perhaps read the bill before commenting on it?
