But the studio, which was acquired by Walt Disney Co. last year, concluded that London was the best location for "Captain America," largely because the story is set in Europe and will feature a number of scenes in London such as Piccadilly Circus...

Good, always better when it's filmed on-location.

The real problem is your bloody spelling! :O:

In the comics, Captain America was overseas fighting in world war II before he got frozen in an iceberg and revived in the (70's ?).

I have two big gripes about this film though. They picked the guy who played "Johney Storm, the Human Torch" from the "Fantastic 4" movies to play Cap. Not only that, they're going to start Cap off as being a singer and dancer in the USO instead of him being a soldier.

In the comics, he was a sickly, yet highly patriotic guy who really wanted to join the military and fight for his country during WWII. He failed the physical, but he qualified for a top secret army project to chemically enhance soldiers to make them into super soldiers. The formula worked and Cap became the greatest possible human physical specimen. Then an accident or something killed the scientist responsible along with the formula so no one knew how to duplicate the results. Anyway, they sent Cap overseas to fight against Germany where he was pretty much equal to an army batallion. :DL

He was never a singing and dancing guy from the USO !!!

While this is true - all 6 of the fans who actually know anything about the story are going to be disappointed in the re-write.

The other 125,254,101 tweens who go to the movie are going to hail Captain America as yet another one of the great original works of their generation. Many of whom will only just be learning that London is in fact part of America.

Also including new and fresh story lines that the world has never heard of (according to the Tweens that go see this crap)

Clash of the titans 2010
Iron Man
Iron Man 2
Transformers
Transformers 2

the list goes on

in EVERY SINGLE ONE of the above movies... 16 - 17 year olds i know had NO clue that those were not original works and were in fact re-makes on one level or another. :shifty:

I didn't follow the link, but is he gonna kill nazis like he should? Maybe they will do it like Sum of All Fears and take a story that should be about Islamist terrorists, and switch them to Nazis. Win!?!

:)

I've that some people thought Hey Joe was original Hendrix.
Mona Lisa's a rip too.
Turns out the Sistine Chapel is straight out of a book. Ceilings were what they had instead of films, used to fling around chunks of painted plaster as trailers. Rental was difficult, piracy not a real problem.

You can add one more to that list. :shifty: But we'll see how it goes...

Who apparently either was, or at least worked for, Tony Stark's dad. At least that's what I took away from IM2.

Whether or not that's messing with the canon, I don't know.

add me to the list as well.

But, hollywood makes movies for kids and teens, not for adults.

why?

because an adult is less likely to purchase that "sweet leather jacket from the movie twilight"

no matter what you or i think, Hollywood is going to do whatever they want with this flick.

Yep, it's often the spin offs that make nearly as much as ticket sales I should imagine.
