9.8 km, about 6 miles.

I think it looks okay.

THE_MASK 05-16-10 01:12 AM

Yeah , but thats not land its trees .

Sledgehammer427 05-16-10 01:17 AM

well, supposing you are looking at a beach that is at sea level, you are only standing about 10-15 feet ABOVE sea level, that would mean that, although you SHOULD be able to see at least something of the beach, the trees would be much more prominent since they are not only AT sea level but much taller than your perspective,

also, I do believe that the curvature of the earth could be doing it's thing and the beach could be edging it's way beyond the horizon, leaving only the trees in view :hmmm:

They certainly appear much too big close up....

Unfortunatly they are a GR2 file and i think they cannot be altered . I might be wrong though .

haegemon 05-16-10 07:16 PM

Cannot yet. It's so tricky.

kylania 05-16-10 07:25 PM

I'd be careful messing with the trees... they might try to get revenge on you!

They're not truly evil, just high spirited. It's our fault really. After we killed off all the ents, there was no one left to keep the trees in line.

Nice Twin Towers statement there.

Thats such an unreasonable, and uncouth extrapolation, that I choose not to comment on it.
(oops.)
