AI Hydrophone ranges in GWX?
After playing SH5 with map contacts on I was amazed by the short range of the hydrophones and the high underwater speed approaches that I was able to use. In GWX I usually go silent running as soon as a destroyer comes within 8 kilometers :O:.
Can someone post a few rough ranges at which late war hydrophones can hear me in GWX on different speed settings and weather conditions? I can't use the Mission editor in SH3 and have yet to find a fix for it :hmmm: |

I've both the original and 2nd version if you want them. |
I can start the ME but there's a problem with the map display. In simple terms it only shows in the top left quarter of the window. The rest of the window is just graphic mumbo jumbo. There's no way to click on anything.

Have you tried the obvious....dragging the edges with your cursor to expand the screen?
Are you using a high res fix/mod? Have you tried v2 of ME? |
Second version? Probably not. And yes, I've tried everything for a long time, different OS, different resolutions, res fix and without. Where's this 2'd ME?
But really now... maybe someone can list from experience some safe zones. |
It may not fix it but it's worth a try if your original ME isn't working.

Damn, same problem. I only need one static late war destroyer that I can circle around on silent running then test when he hears me :wah:. In 3 versions (sea state)
