Actually I believe the deployment of the ram torpedo went flawlessly, they weren't sunk until much later.

I don't think we will ever know exactly what caused the sub to sink. Could have been human error, could have been damage from the spar torpedo exploding, could have been a design flaw.

Yeah but the point is they were able to deploy their weapon and withdraw so it has to go in the Nemo column.

As for the sinking, it might just be an example of why the Army shouldn't operate submarines, ever think of that? :DL
