Silent hunter 7
Hunting under the ice :yep::yep::yep: !!!!!!
Sooooo......threat is served. What platforms do you think would be appropiate guys? |
space ships. Serously there is never gonna be a silent hunter 6 or 7 .But if there will be give us some modern day subsim. Dangerous waters had potential but the grafics were horrible Serously its just to boring looking at 2d game screens. At least if it was 3d i had something to look at.

Just sayin' that those two worked perfectly out of the box. There were some mods for SH1, but they didn't fix things - just made it better.
|
Can we start talking about Silent Hunter 12 now? I think it's time.
. . . . . Here's the reality. I very much doubt we will ever see a SH6...much less a 7. |
I think that this will be the last subsim we will see. Boy I hope I'am wrong
on this.:damn: |
Yes,you are wrong.

Hmm... if that's true why did you, yourself bother uploading patch 1.31 for Silent Hunter to the Subsim Downloads area? :har: As far as Aces of the Deep's "perfection" the patch readme on the Subsim downloads page states.... When saving a game, the number of deck gun rounds remaining will be correctly saved. A gauge has been added showing amount of compressed air and water in the boat. Torpedoes were vanishing from the torpedo loading screen; this was fixed. The music for "Ride of the Valkyres" and "Tipperary" have been added. Crash on reporting contact bug fixed. Very few PC games have ever been perfect out of the box no matter how far back you go take those rose colored classes off Steve! |

Give me Harpoon 2011
The thing we need is a vista version (Win 7) of the best naval game ever, Harpoon. With today's graphic capabilities and that game mechanics, we'd have a winner.
I'm not talking about the Harpoon 3 version with all those silly rings and message boxes. I'm thinking of the first Windows version, actually just the DOS game ported to windows. Give us that in today's technologies! For it's time, that game was top shelf. It had a great mission editor that was easy to use and made sense. |
Probably the Harpoon 3 with all those "silly rings" is a lot closer to the reality of an Aegis system. However I do agree with you although Harpoon plays well & is a very deep experience the way it is a 3D visualization would be nice. And yes it definitely needs a new UI. Did you see the canceled Harpoon 4 which Ubi was working on there's some old reference to it at combatsim.com It was very close to being released when canceled.
Take a look at The Red Pill or Global Conflict Blue for modern indie versions of Harpoon |
