This is just a little mod, nothing overly fancy. It changes the sound of underwater depth charges exploding that you hear via the hydrophones. It's an actual sound file recorded by the US Navy of a depth charge exploding several hundred yards from a submarine.

It's not very loud; the explanation given was that the sound was so loud it overloaded the hydrophone receiver to max. It's also very long; you can hear the underwater explosion bubble collapse, as well as hear the above-surface water column collapsing back down.

There is one little 'quirk' about this mod: the sound file is approximately 20 seconds long. If you're listening to it on the hydrophone and move the hydrophone pointer away, the sound will stop. However, if you're listening to the sound and leave the hydrophone station while it's still playing, the sound file will continue until it reaches the end.

This mod is JSGME ready. Just drop the folder into your MOD folder and enable via JSGME.
