Flags and nationality identification

Hello,

I don't know my flags. I use the external camera and get a good look at the ship's flag, but some of these I don't know what nationality they are. One ship had a flag that was two large horizontal stripes, white stripe above a red stripe and a cartoon-like eagle on the white stripe. I'm colorblind by the way, but that's what the colors looked like to me. I searched for some flags, but I didn't find this one.

Also, does this matter to you to figure out who is neutral or who is the enemy? It's tough to identify without the external camera.

Thanks!

Are you using GWX? If so, top left corner of all optics stations (UZO, Peri & Obs) there is a tab labeled Flaggen, drag it into view.:03:

If you're not using GWX, why not? LOL

I have no mods. I've never modded a game because I wonder if it will screw up the files. Plus, I got SH3 off Steam and I don't have a CD. If I mod it and then something goes wrong and it needs reinstallation, that might be unfortunate. I might have to buy the game again, maybe in CD format.

Modding a Steam install of SH3 is fine. Infact, you can re-download it if anything ever goes wrong. However, you can also copy/backup the Steam Apps folder (which has your SH3 install data in) and save it somewhere safe. You can then Copy & Paste if anything goes wrong.

In as far as GWX for SH3 goes. It's probably the most used/tested supermod available. Don't be worried that it may break you game.

If you feel the need to mod your game, we're all here to help when that time comes.:salute:

For the time being then, the only way to ID your flag is for you to post a screenshot.

Sounds Polish to me!

Post a screen shot and I will be glad to try to help.

The ship itself most likely was a ship from Poland.

if you bought it off steam then you wont have to buy it again. steam allows unlimited downloads of whatever you bought.
GWX is incredibly easy to install.

Poland, yes it is! Thanks. And I think I'll give that GWX a try seeing as so many people have good things to say about it.

You will love GWX. It makes a whole new game.

Remember, after you install it, you will want to run JSGME (comes with GWX) to enable some of the GWX mods. They are not all turned on by default.
