Underwater reflection effects
 

Hi!

I am sure you can remember the underwater wave shadows from SH3? I am talking about those dancing lights and shadows on the outside of the sub when submerged.

I really love this effect a lot... But I am missing this from SH5... It seems to be just not present in any form. Is that correct or is something wrong (besides the known issues) with my SH5?

I have an AMD Phenom X4, 4 Gig of RAM (Corsair Dominator), ATI HD 5770, Win7 64Bit Home.

If this effect is not there by default, does any of the modders think this can be brought into SH5?

Check the water reflection effects in the video settings panel. Never had interest in such a thing, but I'm sure is there.

I was pretty sure that I had everything on and maxed, but I will still double check... For now, I think it is not in the settings, unless it is somewhat hidden...

i have seen it but it must be a clear, very sunny day for it to appear. Same goes for the light beams.

I was just checking around on youtube to find it, so that everyone knows what I am talking about...

Starting at 5:15 you can see this effect. I have hardly ever seen it in SH5 and if it is already in the game, it should be possible to make it appear more often...

Just a remark. But for now most modders probably wait for the patch anyway... :)

And if we are just talking about things not showing up: Has anyone ever seen an action camera in SH5? Where should it appear, what should it look like? Screenshot anyone? I have never seen one (I know that the setting is not stored in some circumstances, but I even did not manage to handle this at the places it should work according to this forum)...

Check the Mods Section. Someone created a Caustic effect mod there.
Caustic is in the stock game, just the effects are very poor - hardly noticeable. Mod fixes.
