Typhoon.
 

Hi all.

Glad to be back on subsim after a while away :yeah:

Could eneyone out there help me with a Typhoon class sub for sh4.
I downloaded this one:

and put it in my Jsgme mod folder but when i downloaded it i got a folder called Red October and when i opend it i only got one file.:hmmm:

So i put it in my mods folder but when i go to start a career i cannot find the sub to choose and when i go into the museum to see if it has overwritten anouther sub to be there it shuts down my game:hmmm:

This is something i would like for sh4 dose eneyone know were i can get this one?

See if those work better for you.

If you want to play the Typoon in career campaign you need to change the campaign file: eg
D:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\MODSx\RedOctober\Data\UPCData\UPCCampaignD ata - CareerStart

open up CareerStart.upc and look for the line below change one sub name to the typoon.

eg: IDLinkUserPlayerUnits= F2Sboat, 5, F2Porpoise, 7, F2Salmon, 4, F2Sargo, 3, F2627A, 6

The 627A is the typoon name. change it to this there are a few you have to change I use notepads Edit - Replace option and replaced the file named F2Tambor with F2627A.

Save. And play the Red October in campaign.

First of all i would like to thank you so much for giving me outher links i really would not have been able to do eneything thank you so much.

And just a question about the red october i cannot find the UPCCampaignD as kiwi_2005 stated all i can find is my UnitsData.

If you dont know people it dose not matter but i am so thankful of you helping me with my new TYPHOON THANKS ALLLLLLL:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

You have to copy paste the original files from Data\UPCData\UPCCampaignData

Take the files you need and place it in your red october/typhoon folder.
Use the same map structure or it will not work.

Before you change those files disable the mod first.

Thank you very much i have been away from sh for a while now and you know i actually sat down for 15mins so i could remember how to put mods on sh and in the jsgme to move them over (yes this is very bad:) HAHAHAHAHAH i was ashamed :cool::salute::cool::salute::cool::salute::cool::s alute::cool:

Just one more question it used to work now it stopped.

This is what i done.

Got my self a copy of the campaign start.

Then i replaced the F1-2Tambor with F2627A using note pad edit replace.

Then i went into JSGME removed the mod then reapplied it.

Went to play and it is no longer in campaign thats what i have done down to the letter extreamly strict would you know anything KIWI as i feel you have a lot of experience with the Typhoon-Akula Mod.
