Getting back into Combat Flight Simulator 3, some questions
Hello
I recently re-bought CFS 3 for a WW1 total conversion mod. However as I like both genres, WW1 and WW2, I am wondering if anyone here that might still dabble with CSF3 can advise as to what recommended mods ect will bring this old bird up to scratch, graphics, theatres, campaigns ect. I also bought B-17 Mephis Belle expansion for it. Are there any CFS 3 communities recommended to visit? Any pointers appreciated. Thanks, G |
MAW (Mediterranean Air War) was OK for WWII when I tried it. :hmmm:

Thanks Dowly,
Is there some CFS 3 Modding or community site that is still active, or where would most of those mods be hosted? Thanks, G |
Sorry, no idea of any sites. Not a big fan of the game. :O: You can always try SimHQ. :hmmm:

I've been into CFS3 forever and I would recommend simviation for freeware mods for CFS3 and there is the ETO Expansion which is freeware links are here http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...estions/page15.

B-17 Memphis Belle Battle of Britain Mosquito Combat Europe Firepower for CF3 |
Great thanks all. I did manage to get the Memphis Belle one already. Looking for the others for a decent price.

Firepower for CF3 is good, you can drop atom bombs. :D
I belive Mosquito Combat Europe also gives you a 1945 campaign like the 1943 one. |
CFS 3 are pretty ok because of how it can be modded.....but personaly i would recomend getting IL2 1946 :salute:

I'd take CFS3 over IL-2 anyday, sure CFS3 is lacking a bit in the graphics department but unlike IL-2 CFS3 has a couple of things that IL-2 doesn't. More planes, guns, bombs, dual throttle control,no sniper tail gunners(by defualt), and the thing I like most of all HUGE MAP!!!! You can fly a mission from bases in England to bomb Berlin and go back nonstop. Plus the true dynamic campaign you can end the war before 1945! I ended it in 1943:D. Too bad Microsoft never took CFS3 to the level of IL-2 in graphics:nope:.
