Game started crashing to desktop after load!
I've been playing SH5 now for 3 weeks and all of a sudden today it won't let me get past the load up - "Load Game", "Continue Campaign" - both approaches lead to a crash back to the desktop at the point (a few minutes after normal start up) where my saved game or campaign would resume. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone know what is going on?

Probably obvious - but are you running any mods?
Have you tried disabling them all? Are you getting an error message when it crashes? |
Hi,
have a look in : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher" or wherever you installed the ubilauncher. A look if you have a "storage" folder in it, if yes delete it and see if it helps. |

Thanks, but no, I'm not running any mods. It was working fine last night but today crashes back to desktop with no error messages at all. I'm both disappointed and confused. |
That's really quite strange and I've no ideas.
Hopefully someone will be able to help you. |

Hi matey,
If you do uninstall it - make sure you use Crap Cleaner to get out all bits of programme that get left behind. Hope this makes sense - I've just woken up and I'm not quite with it lol. |
I think I know why it is not working. A few weeks ago I had a problem with my Raid drive that I keep (My Documents) on The problem was that the fodders on that drive was putting security stipulations on the folders so that when I tried to access a Save Game that was in my save game store path (X:\Cache\Commomfiles\Documents\SH5) The game would see them But would Write to it so the game would Crash upon loading. I'm guessing that somehow your save games are corrupted and causing to crash. Try starting a new carer and see if it will load that way.

I am having the same problem, you have to go back two or 3 days to get one to load, of course, everything you did is now gone.
