Game crash
 

Hi,

I keep on having the same problem what ever I do. In naval academy everything goes ok until I get to shooting planes. The moment I shoot down the first plane my pc restarts. I tried both manual shooting and placing sailor to shoot. Did some had this problem and does solution exists? I updated my pc drivers after few times it crashed but the problem is the same. I'm using the latest patch 1.4b. Anyone?

Sounds to me that you have a corrupted install.

Try reinstalling the game.

Also list your computer specs and any mods you might have enabled.

I'm not using any mods, so far. I'm thinking about GWX.

Pc specs:

P4 2.6GHz
1,5 Gb RAM
Ati Radeon 9200SE
Integrated Sound Card AC97

Few months ago I played SH3 without any problems, but then I uninstalled it. Now I have desire to play it again but it keeps on crashing.

Operating system?
You have some residual files from your prior install causing the problem.

I deleted everything, files left in Program Files, saves is Documents, even registry files. I running Xp

If you haven't already I'd advise downloading and using "Crap Cleaner"

Sometimes you may think you've got it all but there may still be some of the old stuff left.

If you have - then just ignore me lol.

There is a free trial period version and is far more potent than CrapCleaner (which doesn't deal all that well with the deepest registry files but is good at most other cleansing operations).

You will need to do a fresh install but use the disc function to do that, not forgetting the SH3 folder in C\MyDocs of course.

help guys,
still no success. i reinstalled it several times, patched it but still it keeps on crashing the moment bullet hits plane, what else can be cause of this because previously i didn't have this problem.

fixed it. problem was sound related. went to dxdiag and changed form sound hardware accelerated full to accelerated basic, everything now works ok.
