Warship Mod is Epic
 

Hey guys,

Recently discovered Silent Hunter 3 and I've become addicted to the game. Don't know why it took me so long to get into it, especially since I was an Aces of the Deep fanatic in the day. Just installed the Warship Mod and this game has become one of my most favorite ever. Just rolled into a convey as a German battleship and blasted 18 ships out of the water over the course of two hours. :rock:

This game that was fun before but has now become my main game now after installing the Warship Mod. I can't believe what a community this game has and how modable it is. It's fantastic. There's really nothing more fun than tear assing around the Atlantic and raiding enemy ports in a Battleship. I also love how much this game reminds me of AOD.

Anyway, just want to share the awesomeness.

Hi and welcome.
Discovered sh3 years ago played a bit then went on to other things.
Came back recently and thought I would up the realism a bit. That made it interesting. Still learning manual targeting but getting better.
Then I installed gwx and things got real interesting. Blew me away compared to the stock game.

just installed warship mode my battleships have no guns heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp anybody

You must have the castration mod installed. :D

I had that problem, my mistake was I enabled the WSM3 package and not the file itself.

I had this problem last night while trying to set-up all the new mods (I've been playing a clean 1.0 for around six months before I got curious and googled Silent Hunter 3) and I kept getting a German gunboat instead of a battleship. After about a hour of installing and uninstalling things, I found the Warship Mod wasn't working as I was trying to set-up my game through SH Commander. Try starting a game through the game itself without any mods. If that doesn't work try uninstalling mods until you get the right ships.

Also it's absolutely bad ass playing SH:3 windowed on my mac. Right as I time this my battleship is strolling through Portland at 4 am on early morning raid. I think I'll be spending some time reading around here.
