Torpedoes falling :s
So, running through the western approaches campaign.
I'm hunting convoys south of Iceland and I run into a very nice target. Couple of troop transports, 2 freighters and a large Tanker. Sneak in, loose 1 torpedo at two troop transports (1 each) and two to the large tanker. Not taking into account that the closest transport was closer then the other two targets, the fish hit and the convoy scatters. Even so, the tanker takes on amidship and one under the rudder. Two ships sunk. Now my front tube is reloaded by the time the escorts are on me so I decide to loose that through the convoy (it's a FaT) I launch and looking on the TAI the torpedo isnt moving.. Launch tube 2 and go to external and I see the torpedo running, but struggling to keep depth with a high bow attitude.. WTF?? What is happening :s Did i put in too much fuel :rotfl2: ? Anyone had this problem at all? |
ARGHHHH
Fuggin things just cost me two nice ships AGAIN |
why dont you dive to 19 meters and retry, the depth keeping was lousy I knew at the start..
|
Ja but I don't have dud Torpedoes enabled.. unless this is always factored in? Also I'm in August 1941..
|
I'm going to shoot Kurt and the whole damn Torpedo maintenance and loading crew. Snuck into a convoy AGAIN and the fugging torpedos are aimed at a target off the starboard bow and when I shoot THEY GO LEFT!! WTF.
I am using manual targetting and I'm not screwing that up.. So whats the deal. The torpedoes never acted like this before.. Current Mods: New UIs (All Dials) No 1-2-3 Allignment Feared hunters 2.0 Uboat KIller AI Mod v1.02 Nautical Wolfs Interior Mod 1.0 (<--- It started after using this Mod..) |
AoB is incorrect if torps go the wrong way.

I am playing with Manual Targetting.. so how will the AoB come into effect? I'm not messing with it, only letting the auto-aimer do it.
As for the torpedo ability, the only one I've invested in is the faster reload. I don't want to mess with faster speeds etc |

If your torpedo man is souped up and the torpedos are going full speed, the trigonometry will be wrong for your firing solutions.
I've found that by setting the estimated target speed lower by 2 knots is generally all it takes to account for this glitch. Of course at greater ranges this all becomes a little more dicey. It's a really annoying bug. |
Bah sorry I meant I'm not using Manual, just Auto-TDC
