Halifax, Texas City and Port Chigago . . .

Regarding the Halifax, Texas City and Port Chigago disasters, all three resulted from explosions of ammunition and/or explosive laden ships. These weren't little bitty explosions neither.

Is it at all possible to model a cargo ship to explode with anything at all like the severity of what occurred there? Not something that would be commonly run across, of course. And would it be at all historical for a ship carrying cargo such as those were carrying to be found in the Atlantic during '39 - '45?

You could create a new zone linked to a new explosive effect to
create this type explosion.
Hit the special ship and all Heck breaks loose!
:haha:

It would be harder to duplicate those events if that's what you mean.
But it could be done with a special zone again.
Plus some campaign scripting.

I wasn't thinking of duplicating the historical events, no. Just, perhaps, having an ammunition ship that's chock full o' powder as it were. :arrgh!:
