3D gaming aspires to become spectacle
I hope in the near future we wont be discussing whether Silent Hunter will be a WW2 campaign or Nuclear sub campaign, instead we'll be asking - will it be in 3d. :yep:... :hmmm:......

Isn't it already possible to play pretty much any game in 3D given you got a 120hz monitor and 3d classes. Atleast Nvidia cards got 3D feature. :hmmm:

Yep :yep: But what im thinking is they're looking at a way to make 3d available for everyone where we wont have to mortgage the house just to get the damn devices. Atm its to expensive and is it true 3d :hmmm:

I'm much happier without the headaches to be honest. Still hoping this 3D thing blows over... again.

Yea 3d gaming has been around for a while now.
Up untill now a few things lead to no sales. 1. Its not all that and really doesn't work all that well. 2. Its clunky, I have to wear glasses when using a machine. Another pair of glasses? 3. Not enough bang for the buck. That being said, its comming there is a tremdous push to go 3D in all avenues of entertainment. With that push comes development and research and ultimatly advancement. The guy that figures out how to make 3D without some goofy glasses or some such will make billions. |
IIRC I heard that it had been done using pyramid shaped LEDs that don't need glasses or something like that, the standard LED tv that is the best today is being phased out, all word of mouth though!:hmmm:
