Cloning a sub
So I decided to mess around with cloning an in game sub. Sort of like how it's done in SH4. Of course I don't know if there are any node id's that need to be messed with, I'm sure there are. Anyway I managed to just copy some of the important files and rename them and I ended up with this.

Nice, a step in the right direction.

You need to do the eqp file and have it point to the conning tower you want.
Take note of the path statement and correct it as needed. |
Wow, I almost forgot about this thread. But yeah the eqp file did the trick, thanks privateer. I'm working on making a different texture for it. Looks like ubisoft used their same unwrapping from IV.

Does this mean we might see type IX or others in SH5 soon?

It oppens a huge array of possibilities, long range patrols, lot of firepower in happy days, attack a convoy night after night.. i always use big boats in submarine games, IX-B and Pacific Fleet boats are my favourite units |
It's aways a PITA to convert to the newest standard and Controllers.
It takes hours just to get something half right. Now we need to mess with Goblin (if you don't do Hex Editing) or adjust files for S3D. Then much testing and so on and so forth! Once the exact changes are mapped out to the last detail? New Tools will be finished to speed things up. It's only a matter of time now. They can patch the heck out of SH5 and the Tools can be adjusted, if need be, faster then any new patch rolls down the line. Adding new Player Subs is in the works. It's just slow at this time. We still need to go to work everyday. :nope: |
