Need advice on animation export
Hi gentleman's,
I need to know how to export my animation from max obj to sh3, what i mean is do i have to export each individual keyframe because 100 keyframe is a lot of export clicking and what kind of animation can be export like cloth, modifiers, spacewarps etc?? Regards Hans, |
Hi Hans,
You will need to determine which frames you must have. Then export those as obj files. Once you've got that, do the import and test. You'll end up tweaking and adjusting till you get what you want. 1st time is always the hardest. After that it gets easier as you get a feel for what is needed. If an obj file can't handle the modifiers? Then you'll need to find a different way to get what you want. |
Hi privateer always a pleasure talking with you,
Ok everything went fine exporting each obj animated frame i load it in sh3 editor and the animation play fine but when i open it in game it is a static mesh without the animation! So what do i need to do? Do i have to save the animated mesh in sh3 editor as an .anm and put it in the animations folder to make it run in game? And by the way i managed to make full boat reflection in the water it look gorgeous:up: Regards Hans, |
You'll need to look at an existing animation and make sure you have
the proper controllers in place. I'd suggest the Pescarus.dat file. There's only one mesh animation in there so is easy to follow. |
