Enjoy WW2 Naval theatre type sims

I have been playing SH5 and Pacific Storm lately - and watching the Pacific...

Was wondering- what are some other good games where you control the entire US or Japan and take on the Pacific? And are any worth checking out?

P.T.O. Might be tricky to find though. :DL

War in the Pacific, or WitP Admirals edition.

Yeah, but he's looking for a high strategy game:

I think the best bet right now is War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition if you can take the insane micromanagement, detail and complexity (And also the rather high price). I've heard some good things about Shrapnel Games' War Plan Pacific, which should be quite a bit simpler, but I have not played it.

There's also another game by Matrix coming out soon called Storm Over the Pacific, but we'll have to wait and see how that one turns out.

Tried Arsenal of Democracy? Basically its a rehash of HoI2 with some bug-fixes and a couple of other things, along with high res support.

I keep trying to play pacific storm but the inconsistancies and bugs keep driving me away. My geez that game had potential but the devs had to move on....

War in the Pacific: Admirals Edition. One of the finest computer war games I've ever played. Sure, there's a lot of micro management but I don't find it anywhere near as complex as some people claim. It is pricey but if you like it I garrantee you'll get your moneys worth several times over.

I don't think a better strategic level PTO game has ever been made.

Yea Pacific Storm is a great game its worth giving it a try. Bugs are just annoying but they dont break the game.

Pacific Storm - and PS:Allies both have TONS of potential. The bug's don't even bother me much - what does is that alot of the micromanagement doesn't even make sense. Turn off auto supply for your bases and you will see what I mean.
