What's wrong with Mikhayl

Excuse me, but everytime I try to read a thread initiated by Mikhayl as this one :
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=130088 [REL] Playable S-Boot ( Final ), or this one :
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show....php?p=1260722 How to - Silent Hunter CE + Dosbox + Windows XP
no text appears except for "---" and when other member discuss with him further down the thread, he never appears to answer.
Am I doing something wrong, is it my setting ? I doubt it though, because he is the only one with whitch the same is occuring.
Thank you in advance.

I was actually trying to find out what he had written it the beginning of this thread as I'm interrested with [REL]Another CombiMod GUI v1.1.0
( http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=144855 )
Same problem here
Sorry for 2nd post.

Jimbuna 04-18-10 04:13 PM

He has edited/deleted the content for some reason.

Thanks, Jim
That's strange, cause it's not a single occurance.
I'm interested in [REL]Another CombiMod GUI v1.1.0, so I guess I'm stuck with the original [REL] comments and explanations he had made.

Have you noticed similar in other posts of his? :hmmm:

JMV 04-19-10 03:31 PM

Oh yes, Jim.
A good many apart the 3 I already mentionned.
Is the same happening to you with the 3 in my posts #1 and #2 ?

Jimbuna 04-20-10 06:55 AM

I've just checked his previous posts and a substantial number have been edites out by him so one can only presume it was intentional.....strange :hmmm:

Yeah, looks like he had some kind of meltdown. Too bad, I really liked that guy.

Same thing happened with Red Okotber, somone said something he didn't like and he went through all his posts and wiped them out. We set a 2 week limit on editing to prevent this, but some people always complain that they want to be able to edit their 6 month old posts with updates, so there's no way to get around it.

Is there a way to limit the number of edits allowed per day or something? That would give someone who is on mega-tilt a chance to come back to their senses before nuking all their posts.

Onkel Neal 04-20-10 07:30 AM

I don't think there is a limit per day.

In most cases, it's no big deal if someone wipes their blather out. But with really smart guys who post useful tech tips, it's a loss for the community. Which is why it's always good to Quote a post that has really helpful info in it in the first reply.

Thanks for confirming/clearing that up Neal:up:

Just thinking... when you make backups of the forum database, as I presume you do at least once per month, is it then not possible for you to find a post in the backup, before it was edited out, and then simply repost? I mean, posts like tutorials and tech info. Not necessarily mod release posts.
But tutorials and tech info or any other info post is truely gold worth for any forum. So if possible, maybe you can repost such info posts.
Just an idea...
