[WIP] the 11th tube for the Class T submarine

The T class boats had a stern external tube added at some point to suplement the 10 foward facing tubes (4 external - 6 internal)

the 1.62 version of the Truant I released a long time ago didn't have the 11th tube, only the Zwaardisch had 11 and that caused ctd when using the TBT.

I am now retrying to add that elusive 11th tube...



I added a tube to the .dat : BRM along with its anim (works in s3d)

I added a tube in the .sim linked to the anim BRM in the .dat

I linked the external door to an existing one without model

I added one torp storage to the stern room in the .sim

I added the tube in the upc and linked it to the rear bunker :

warning : using TBT with 11 tubes still causes straight CTD !


tube is linked to tube 1 ?????

must be cause I added the array item for the tube as 0 in the .sim

[edit] moved the item down to last position in the .sim (10) , it solved the problem as now tube 11 open tube = stern tube as seen here above.

next in line : linking the turret model to the DG so the turret swivels along with the gun :

I'm currently having issues with the TBT (UZO) which causes CTDs with the 11th tube, I must be missing something someplace..

waitup ! I remember that Peabody had to add tubes to the ?menu_1024_768? for us to have 8 tubes on the german side instead of the stock's 6...

that must be what is causing the CTDs..

also this would allow me to make an extra tube or two or three for the Kaiten fired by our IJN subs, and not have them be fired from the bow tubes anymore, unrealistic...

As I remember having troubles with tubes/decoy launcher on our ijn subs I moved the noisemaker to the engine room in the upc.

Hi Keltos,

Been playing around with the older versions of "T".
Congrats on this interesting addon, thank you sir.:salute:

Is the boat is selectable for campaign? Would be nice alongside the fleetboats, or even better operating from Ceylon ect...:D

reverted to 10 tubes version 1.6.2 again...

Installed Peabody's new UK DG and my latest torpedoes

has the new tower, new ao map, new damage 3D model etc..

when tested I will try again to install the 11th tube

I guess you already know, but if not, 3D models of british subs exist... S class was included in GWX and U class was made by Dagon for SH4...

where can I get my hands on those ? and the authorization to use them in a future British Subs Mod ?
