Late war japanese submarines
 

i am currently modeling the AFV 1\350 scale late version I-58 and noticed in the box art that the anchor well is plated shut. after further research i found a picture of the I-44 and again the Port side well is plated shut.
my question is were all 2 anchor wells plated shut late in the war or only one side?

the AM and StO classes (I-13 and I-400 class) seem to have only had one anchor on the Stb side from the ship yard too.
