I dont think so I think the creature is real at least the explosion part may have been shopped.

But this creature is all over you tube in several different videos. They cant all be shopped.

Until I/someone finds more on this I'm gonna have to go with CGI as well. Doesn't make it any less freaky though, especially whenever they turn the thing over :o

It looks like a cross between a cnidarain and a mollusk, but I'm witholding judgement until someone with more knowledge of zoology can make an educated guess.

Jimbuna 04-14-10 01:42 PM

Could be the latest addition to the sushi menu.

GoldenRivet 04-14-10 02:34 PM

my guess is that it is mostly or all CGI

if it is only partially CGI, i would assume it is some sort of marine gastropod without its shell.:06:

you may recall this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQmFW...eature=related

initial claims were that it was CGI

turns out it was a cluster of some species of worms.

Jimbuna 04-14-10 02:45 PM

Put it this way....if it wasn't CGI the buggers would have been eating it :DL

Dowly 04-14-10 02:54 PM

Puppet of some sort.
