Hi Captains,
I am very happy to be able to release SlideRule MOD without "Beta" description.
........even if only a few Captains require this SlideRule MOD. :D

* Feature
 - Can toggle front and back Middle_SlideRule
 - Have Two way to Access the SlideRule, Button and ShortcutKey(defaultkey= V)
   that's all :88)

* Known Issue
 - Grab Position of MiddleSlideRule <--- SOLVED :DL
 - Grab Position of SlideRuleCursor <--- SOLVED :DL

 - This SlideRule's scale is not precision.

* Installation:
 Friendly with JSGME for vannila game.(only for SH5 1.15)
 for the other case, please read ReadMe.

* Note
 I don't know whether was or was not ARISTO's SlideRule used by U-Boat submariner, historically.
 Besides, I could find only one picture of SlideRule on the net, Marineschule's No: 20 'Kiel' model.

What does it calculate?

Athlonic 04-13-10 02:20 AM

Hi,

I don't have any clue of what this is for ...

but great work ! :D

Just a question, why the 'V' key ? This key is already use for the dive command in the stock game.
Would be nice to have an unused key for this.

Thanks.

You can read about it in one of credits web page:
http://www.sliderulemuseum.com/

In one of exe installators (maybe in combined version) there was option to chose which key u want.

Ahhhhhh, NICE!

That really brings back memories....my school days was before electronic calculators, so I actually know how to use the bugger.
Hehehe, just got my old aristo sliderule out....think I'll use that instead but very nice thought and brilliant work matey

Boy these things have sure gone the way of the Dewey Decimal System...

Mithrandir 04-13-10 11:28 AM

Thank you Ottos,
I like it very much and I would like to use it for my calculations... The problem is that I am from the "electronic generation"... Is there a good tutorial on how to use it for submarine purposes? :)

Bye,
Mith

try google with 'aristo sliderule manual' and you should find several tutorials/explanations.

hi,
maybe at http://www.sliderulemuseum.com/ and left side "Slide Rule Course,How to Use a SR" is helpful.

and I found this thread

but, honestly said, its too dull to read English concern about Math, so I have not read well..:O:

heidelbergensis 04-17-10 04:39 AM

This site has an easy course about how to read sliderules; manuals in pdf also.

http://sliderulemuseum.com/

and here you can find emulators to practise out of the game...

http://www.antiquark.com/sliderule/sim/index.html

Very interesting stuff...
