GWX help

I was trying to put silent hunter 3 on my lap top ( i had bought the steam versions so i can put them on multiple comps.) I downloaded gwx and tried to install, it got over halfway through then as it was installing/extracting sound files it said the were corrupt. I kept hitting the ignore button to see and i clicked through ahundred or so sound files, all corrupt. I tried redownloading gwx from filefront, didnt get a chance to try to install it again, but has anyone experienced this before? is the version Im downloading broke?

Thanks.

I install this by running the install right? or do I use JSGME?

Download all files (GWX3-1.bin,GWX3-2.bin,...,GWX3-7.bin and GWX3.exe, everything should weight 1.31GB) and run exe file. Before intaling GWX make sure that your SH3 is ver. 1.4b otherwise patch it: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...do=file&id=158

As Stavros has said, GWX is an exe.
Running it installs GWX and JSGME for you.

Have you tried downloading from the Grey Wolves website?
http://www.thegreywolves.com/downloads/

This page also contains a link to JScones MD5 checker, that you can use to verify the integrity of the downloaded files before you try installing.

Good Luck :DL

If I were you I would look here - http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...3/m/4481072348

Or perhaps trying searching for a user called jimbuna or even privateer_GWX (provided that what his I.D is on THIS forum) and dropping one of them a P/M to request a copy of the install on DVD.

Also like the others have said, check your version you are patched to.

Thanks. I asked about JGSEME cause I have used it on SH4. I figured cause it was a exe i didnt need it but just wanted to make sure. As I said I re downloaded it and will try it when I get home from work. Ive been loving Op Mon on SH4, and with teh current state of SH5 I wanted to try sh3 as Im loving the atlantic theater.

There have been spasmodic reports of one or two files appearing to be faulty on our website, so to be on the safe side I'd suggest you grab them from my FF site (link above my sig).
