Well that blows...
 

My wife was playing sims3 for quite a while. Couple of hours when suddenly the pc froze.

I hit reboot and on restart it got halfway through the shut itself down.

I re-start again this time it comes up but I note My firewall av software icon wasent present in the tool bar.

This paniced me so I restarted again.

It then came up and said I had to run scandisk.

Normally no big deal but this time it found at least 20 errors on the C drive.

Its still verifying now keeping my fingers crossed but...dammit wtf its the root drive if it craps Im sol

Sorry for the ninja edit but its back up and running fine for now. I had a bit of confusion to the events orders and started to edit it when my wife interruped.. Came back 10 minutes later to finish the edit :D

Glad its back in one piece.

Yep Norton Ghost is probably the only best thing to come from Norton's

If you start getting errors on a drive, it's probably time to replace it. :hmmm:
