Settlers 7
Installed the demo and played a bit. Of course, the tutorial consists of a video with one of the developers laying down everything at lightening speed :haha: I've never played a Settlers game before, but I understand this series has a rich history. Any tips on getting started are welcome!

. . . . . . Sorry, never played Settlers, but I couldn't help myself. Consider that payback for the XBox Zone April Fool's fiasco. :salute: |
Haha, thanks :)
I'm having trouble making new soldiers. After my original 6 die in battle.... cannot make any new ones :wah: |
I don't know how it works in the 7th installment, but in previous games you needed: Iron ore, coal, smelter, blacksmith, farm, and brewery. And you need gold coins to promote the soldiers
That was in Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary Edition. :) I don't remember if it works exactly the same way in Settlers 6, I remember there was a barracks building and an archery building. But if it's the same in the 7th installment, I don't know. :) |

And a brothel... |
Take your time, this is not a game you can rush through - always make sure your citizens have what they need, or they stop working. And if your ever short of gold, call them to church - cha-ching! more gold!

Thanks, guys. Ok, I see this game has a lot more layers of economy than Age of Empires, lol. Finally got the Mint up and running, nothing like minting new currency at will to raise an army. :)
This is a pretty polished game. Very well-organized and constructed. |
