Fubars Sub Skins

I received a PM today reminding me that the link to Fubars FF account no longer contained any of his excellent skins.

The poster reminded me that I had stated in the past that I had a fair number of them archived.....24 to be precise.

It is with the above in mind and at the request of the poster that I am going to post four links (each with 6 skins) on my FF account to ensure those who have yet to experience these masterful pieces of work should have the opportunity.

I can't imagine Fubar would object because they were all originally posted by him for the benefit of our community.

@Fubar....any objections mate and I'll immediately delete the links.

Respectfully

And I will take them and put them up here...with the same 'objections' caveat.:sunny:

Hitman 04-03-10 06:00 PM

Excellent  Will that be the hi or low-res ones? I have some of the low res, but the hi ones are the best because you can always downsize them if needed. :smug:

I just looked and see that we already have a large number of his skins. Go to the Downloads Search function and type in Fubar.

Oh, a second look confirmed that most of them are low-res.

I can't honestly say...I am simply answering the request of a community member...based on what I've got archived.

Thanks.
More skins are always good :DL

There will/should be two more links as the day progresses.

Thank you 1000X Jim. You were so considerate to archive those files :)

I found some very rare skins in your collection, and a few couldn't be located anywhere else. Most of the skins in Pt1 & Pt2 are highres version. Usually that can be seen at a glance by the size of the compressed file:
20+ Megabytes for hi res
<10 MB for low res

I will await the other two collections and then post links to still-missing-skins if necessary. I have for example the hires versions of U-552 and the VIIB winter paintjob.

Btw, I am using the VII and IX skins successfully in SH4.

Rgr that mate...next one in an hour or so (trying to do a few things at once/keeping all the balls in the air) :DL

No problem, do it when you have time. I am young, I can wait :)

Ok a really dumb question about skins and I don't really want to make a new topic for this, how do I know a skin has been activated? I mean, I can't always tell. Is the skin that's been activated through JSGME always on for the type of sub it's meant?

Yes...provided for example, it is a skin for a Type VII and you have selected a Type VII ingame.
