Whoops I think i made a big mistake

On my last patrol in my Type IIA I came across a merchant on route to my patrol grid and i lined up a shot and put an eel into her middle. Lights were off so i took it as an enemy merchant...big mistake...it was a german merchant. Rule #1 ALWAYS identify the ship first. :nope:

After sinking 2 large cargo ships in a convoy on the same patrol i got back to base to find i've been deducted -800 renown. I now stand at -540 renown. Time to retire the captain maybe? :damn:

I wouldn't worry. The Kreigsmarine No. 7 Sausage Supply Depot needs a commandant.

I have a feeling you're going to be sent East :DL

cheche! :D

I remember a situation when I cleanly shot a large tanker SE of Portugal's coast in late 1940 just to find out that she wore an US-Banner. I VERY quickly left the place and achieved to be outta sight before she sank.
pheeew, that was close! :haha:

Your one neutral ship away from becoming Hermann Göring's toilet cleaner. Did you know his full name? Hermann pebble dash Göring. ;)

why must all the suspicious guys wear those coats??
in any country, btw ....

@ Hermann Göring:
this is a most disgusting guy at all.
brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fozzy22 04-03-10 06:11 PM

:DL Looks like Hermann Göring or Stalingrad can wait for now, the "guy's in trench coats" transfered me to 7th Flotilla. Didn't really have a choice. :woot:
After last patrol I'm down to -154 so i'm working it off lol. :yeah:

In real life u-boats sank several friendly cargo ships. Usually it was the fault of the cargo captain. The had a habit of running outside their assigned areas, and disguising their ships to look like Allied merchants.

I changed my renown settings so I get 0 for sinking neutrals and -1 for sinking friendlies, rather than -1 and -10.

That said, I'm always very careful about my spotting. I already waste enough torpedoes just from missing so much.
