Engine change?

I drive a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with a gasoline powered V8 with 87.262,00 miles on it; I was wondering if it is possible to switch to a diesel V8. And if so, is this complex and expensive?

I would think its always cheaper to change the whole car.:o

Cheaper to change vehicle. You would need a entire fuel system change over from the tank forward. The ECM (electronic control module) computer to run it will need to be changed as well. Do-able? Yes. Worth your time, money and effort? No sir. 87k miles on that truck you are just breaking it in anyway. :03:

I do not think I can make enough money selling this car to get a new one.
It is 7 years old and 87.000,00 miles.

I do not want to change, I was just thinking of a new engine. Maybe I will just go with a bigger gas engine.

And my truck has been past 'breaking in' for like 2 years, ever since my accident.

Do you mean 87,000 miles? If so that is nothing for that motor. I would not worry until 150,000 miles. :hmmm:

Anyway, the cost to switch to diesel would be costly. Get a new engine block with heads. :yeah:

Yes 87,000 miles, what did I put?

It might be a recent engine, because of the accident I know I had to replace a good amount of stuff in the front. the frame was even in bad shape. I will ask my dad later.

Do you think I could fit a V-10?
