You speak about model of sun or about orbit of sun?

about the model of the sun:)

1) Try to change texture...
2) A little increase plane (mesh) of sun...
3) And you can try to increase SunRelativeSize in EnvSim controller...

if i increase mesh sun size, will it be needed to modify "sun halo" mesh, as i believe sun mesh and halo mesh are two separate files ?

Where you saw sun halo model? it's hardcoded, IIRC...
But than is more the model of the sun so much is more probability to see artefacts...
