Need advice on emergency lifebuoy color
Hi, guys i am presently doing the texture for type IIA and some book i have, mention that the white&red lifebuoy was paint in black in wartime any clues if this is right???
Thank in advanced for any answer :salute: _________________________________________ "If you can't beat them the first time, reincarnate, build your own 3d army and beat them with a mouse&keyboard" |
I've got an E-book somewhere that said the same thing.
But some b/w pictures I've seen suggest a grey color may have been used. Cause it does not stand out that much. |

Probably the grayish look is a worn out black paint. It's certainly very difficult to say when looking at B&W pics, but if it was painted black and you are giving the textures a slight "worn out" look (Which a sub, battered by salt water is not at all out of place) then your medium grey should be OK
