The +/- keys on your number pad increase and decrease time compression (TC). You can use this tool to "warp" time. Be mindful of it's use. Take care in your plot before engaging or you could find yourself beached on a small island.

Not that I would know anything about that :shifty:

Pacific is a big ocean. ;)

Save your fuel and cruise at about 9 kts. Use time compression to speed up the time.

Normally I never exceed 512x TC, except on the first part when I leave the port when I go as high as 1024 or one notch higher. This is in order not to mess up the game when exiting high TC.

In patrol area it is wise not to use higher than 256x TC.

You could try messing around commands.cfg and re-binding it.

The file can be found in Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific/Data/Cfg folder.

When coming out of TC I normally hit the backspace button. This will pause the game and then I hit the + key once for real time speed.

I read it a while back on here and it really helped me out instead of - - - - - - to get back to realtime from 1024x TC.
