How to do Non standard Resolutions??

just wondering if any of the mod gurus have a way to make the game run properly in a non standard res like 6048x1080:damn:

What happens to the game when you do that - what doesn't work?

its hard to explain what happens, ill try though.

I put the res in the ini file then start the game it looks just fine, but can kind of tell its probaly 1024x768 or a real low res just blown up to fit the 3 screens. this is at the main menu.
I start up a historical mission and the loading screen is fine, fits perfectly on the center screen. then gets in game and its expanded on all three screens the ui on the bottom fits fine but thiers some problems with some of the higher on screen ui elements. But biggest problem is the screen is black but the game is running and i see the ui but no 3d ingame stuff.
With messing around i double click the perisope icon takes me to perisope which now i can see in game graphics finally, but the problem is the zoom is messed up as im outside of the periscope when i should be inside it. Basically the zoom is zoomed in way to far and its breaking through the 3d borders of the objects making the camera out of range.
Im thinking this game is borked when it comes to these resolutions but really wish thier was a way to play it at these as its a semi simulation and most simulations work great in eyefinety .

Thanks for any help or feedback by the way.

Jonesy:up:

Hmmm, yes, the angular angle of the camera seems to be a fixed amount and scales with the screen aspect ratio. I guess this means that no matter who calibarates a periscope mod, changing resolution will change the zoom factor, breaking the graduations, anyway...

Try changing the field of view, it's called AngularAngle in the cameras.dat file and see if that helps at all... I am pretty sure it's the horizontal angle.
