:salute: hi fellow sub mariners fairly new to sub sims started with sh3 then progressed to sh4 and now the new sh5 of course :hmmm: this modding sounds tricky what do i need to start off ...thnks

Hi tetleys and welcome aboard!

Modding is a HUGE topic, there are so many mods available for each of the games and a lot depends on what aspects of a game you are looking to alter or enhance. We have excellent forums devoted to each one (and subforums devoted entirely to mods and modding) so your best bet is probably to start looking through the threads there and if you have specific questions about different mods, don't hesitate to ask!

I think most everyone, though, would recommend starting off with JSGME, a program which makes adding and removing mods to your games much safer and easier to do.
