i think its not workng beacuse i continue to fuddle with the EXE because my mods RE-F-U-S-E TO WORK AT ALL. and it makes me so mad :(

Based on what you've said there I'm guessing that you need to reinstall the game.

Are you using the JSGME mod? That should alow you to install mods without touching any files inside the game.

If you haven't changed the settings on the game then I believe that all your saves will be stored online.

If you've mucked about with the .exe file I seriously reccomend that you reinstall the game. You really don't want to mess about with those files.

Perhaps when you removed the game last time it didn't uninstall every file and registry entry completely?

Have a look in Windows Explorer after removal to see if there's any files "left" over after uninstallation.

attempting to "fiddle" with the exe is illegal and discussing it here is taboo so reinstall your game and it should be restored to proper working order.

after that install your mods one at a time and test if its working, if by chance it is a mod then you will know which one caused it and you can continue your quest for a cure.

as it stands now you are looking to fiddle with the exe and therefore this thread is closed as no more discussion will be alowed on that subject.
