modding: how do hands relate to dials?
Trying to fiddle around with some minor, minor modding. Where is the manual on this? :damn:
I see how the dials and needles correspond to each other in menu_1024_768.ini, and was able to "swap out" two dials and their corresponding needles on the screen (the shallow and normal depth guages), but the values are now wrong. It's as if I swapped out the dial face and hands, but left the mechanics behind, so when I'm on the surface, the normal depth guage is reading about 60' instead of 5 or whatever. Would someone be kind enough where I can find what is controlling the relationship between the values and the objects that are displayed? Also, if there's a thread on beginning modding, that would be great... I didn't have luck with a search on that. I have silent 3ditor and can barely find my way around. Thanks! :DL |
Look for dials.cfg, Flopper. It's in there!:yeah:
