[REQ] Change some Hvy Cruisers to BB in Med
 

Ok so I have sunk several task forces in the proper zones but all had heavy cruisers instead of BB at their center. Is this a bug? Has anyone sunk a BB there and gotten credit? Even in the major ports all there is are Heavy and light cruisers

We need to change some heavy cruisers to BB. I mean a 12 DD escort for a couple of Heavy Crusiers is sily anyway.

Why so? Plenty for cruisers out there to do, as far as hunting down axis shipping goes. They're better suited for that task than the battleships - those in the med have a much narrower set of roles. The two ports where you should occasionally find battleships would be Alexandria and Gibraltar - no reason for the big guns to be anywhere else, really.

So are you saying you found and sunk a BB in the Med and got credit for one of the missions?

or in a 30 merchant convoy...I've found 2 King George the 5th's on the outside of the convoy (in two different convoys on separate occasions) :nope:. needless to say at 9 knots and 2,050 M it was a turkey shoot. :arrgh!:

Nice gimpy Thats good to know. I haven't seen any 30 merch convoys yet in the med but ill keep an eye out.

when you say "med" you mean Mediterranean, right? I haven't patrolled there yet.
I've been finding those battleships around the red line during the "happy times" mission. even spotted a Texas class battleship (it was 1940 and i could not shoot at her...yet...:arrgh!:) if you see a blue line on the outside of the convoy without a sonar circle its most likely one of them. both of them have been near the front on the port side of the convoy.

Yeah Im on the Mediterranean missions and the last 2 are sink 2 BB ea and there's not one to be found anywhere just hvy cruisers. Im trying to fond someone who has sunk one so i know its not foolish to keep hunting.

yup, sunk a royal sovereign BB....found it in first taskforce (taskforce H area) I encountered....since then, only Kent heavy cruisers and Didos....need that last BB to complete mission
